Don't hide it, don't soften it, don't cover it up.Don't hide it, don't soften it, don't cover it up.
Don't hide it, don't soften it, don't cover it up.Don't hide it, don't soften it, don't cover it up.
Away From Home's concept is honesty in design: every piece shows what it is and where it comes from, without trying to disguise anything. The shoot had to convey exactly that. No elaborate sets, no styling competing with the product: the lamps are striking enough on their own.
(What we did)
Shoot concept
Product as the star
Alignment with the brand concept
First collection

Verbal identity
Every lamp has an everyday origin.Every lamp has an everyday origin.
Every lamp has an everyday origin.Every lamp has an everyday origin.
The pieces come from what their designer lives day to day. The Blister Lamp comes from that frustrating packaging you can only open with scissors. Another started with an IKEA bulb that deserved a lamp built around it. Another uses a flower vase as its shade. The story behind each object is part of the product.
(What we did)
The story of each piece
Collection narrative
Names with everyday origins
Honest, direct voice

Visual identity
Industrial prototyping, no gimmicks.Industrial prototyping, no gimmicks.
Industrial prototyping, no gimmicks.Industrial prototyping, no gimmicks.
The visual language takes its cues from industrial prototyping: exposed materials, visible processes and simple concepts drawn from everyday life. Nothing is over-polished. What other products would hide is part of this one's character.
(What we did)
Prototype visual language
Exposed materials and processes
Clean composition
Collection visual system

Art direction
The lamp at the center. Everything else, out.The lamp at the center. Everything else, out.
The lamp at the center. Everything else, out.The lamp at the center. Everything else, out.
An extremely simple approach: portraits of each lamp where nothing around it competes for attention. Clean backgrounds and framing so the form, the material and the light do all the work. If the design is honest, the photography has to be too.
(What we did)
Photo production
Art direction
Product photography
Individual portraits of each piece
